Blackdown Care Connections is a new, not‑for‑profit, community‑focused service from the Blackdown Support Group.
Our purpose is simple:
To help local people understand care and support options in their community and make independent contact with local self-employed micro-providers who are connected with the network, and committed to standards developed and enforced by Somerset and Devon Council.
We provide information about local independent micro-providers who offer flexible, person-centred assistance — helping people consider options that may support independence, dignity and wellbeing at home.
Community-led initiatives like ours aim to make it easier for people to understand local support options and make their own informed choices.

Network Event
Tuesday 10th November at 6.30pm at Newlands, Station Road, Hemyock
We are hosting a network event for Micro‑Providers registered with Care Connections or those interested in being part of our Network. This will be a chance to come together, celebrate the valuable work you do, and share feedback to help shape and strengthen the service.
If you are a Micro‑Provider interested in joining the network — or you are considering becoming one — you are very welcome to attend and find out more.

Care Connections is an information and signposting service. It does not employ, direct, supervise, organise, match, recommend or manage micro-providers or their work. Any arrangement is made directly between the individual, or their lawful representative, and the micro-provider.
